Lens:
- Sigma 70-300 APO DG F4-5.6
- Canon 28-135mm EF IS USM F3.5 - 5.6
- Canon EF 70-200 F4 L USM
l purposely did not use ideal/perfect/additional lighting for this.
Set all pictures at ISO 100, WB = tungsten, solid tripod mount, 10 seconds delay timer.
I then varied the F values from say 4, 5,6,8,11,18,22,32 as each lens could handle.
I might post the F values when l can or simply download each file below and
check the image details.
All below are JPEG from Canon, un-processed. I shot RAW+JPEG, l didnt use higher quality JPEG from RAW as l am doing a worst case scenario.
All these zooms lens do excellent work in my view, outside in sunny bright light.
You should be able to click on the image(s) for the original, usually 4-7Mb [20Megapix]
This is not a perfect composition test. I simply placed my sons lego man in the center and did AF on the area at and around that lego central object.
In case you dont know, when a zoom lens has a F range of x-y, the x value is the min at the low zoom range and the y value is the min F value at the highest zoom value. Only the Canon F4 L glass above doesn F4 at 70mm and F4 at 200m
The 28-135 will do F3.5 at 28mm and will not do less than F5.6 at 135mm
